We will guide guest around the land, a rubber tapper will show how rubber trees are tapped, then you will get to try it yourself. We will show the equipments used to tap rubber trees and the condition the rubber tapper had to endure (they tap very early in the morning). Guests will get to see rubber seedlings (and take it home) and the games that kids played with it during the olden days. More than one guest have taken home seedlings from the rubber trees, leaf, even the hardened milk from the rubber trees as souvenirs.

After playing around with what a rubber tree can give you, you'll get to enjoy some organic vegetables served with other local dishes in Tiffin lunch boxes from local restaurants around the area. The lunch is from a local restaurant which are known to be patronised by locals with dishes called masak lemak cili api (spicy coconut gravy), fried free range chicken and yummy organic local vegetables picked fresh.

During lunch we will regale the guests about how rubber was brought to Malaysia, the current rubber industry in Malaysia and around the world.

We can accommodate if we don't schedule the experience. Message us!

We are Khairul and Nani, a cat-loving couple who live at this 10-acre land where we maintain one of the last remaining small-holding plantation area with rubber trees, palm-oil trees and a fish pond. This experience is handled by Nani who will guide the guest to our place, show around the compound and prepare the food. She is quite well-versed with the history of rubber trees and the industry in Malaysia.

We travel so we usually compare notes on the places we have been to while entertaining guests to whatever is available (sometimes there are local fruits).

Tempat yang akan Anda datangi

The whole place is at a 10-acre plantation in Sepang, 14 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The place has hammocks and organic farm with an outdoor open kitchen where meals are cooked over fire like in the olden days unless it is raining where we'll eat the library.

Our land is in a Malaysian village with plantation lining the street but near convenience such as highways and trains.

If you are in transit we have a cabin for you

Had a wonderful visit - It is quite something tapping into a rubber tree with your own hands, and racing against time to get it to flow properly into the bucket! Thank you for making us feel so welcome... and for sharing the many wonderful stories. Hope to visit again some time!

My husband and I had a great time at PUDGI farm and trying our hands to tap the rubber ourselves. Nani, who led the tour has good knowledge not just on rubber trees, but also of other trees and vegetations they had at the farm. Khairul, Nani and not forgetting Khairul's mom and their staff are warm and friendly and they were with us all along the entire duration. As someone from a hospitality background, I love the little touches - the mosquito coil they provided to be worn on our neck/ waist, mosquito repellent spray, wide straw hat, a welcome drink and small bottle of mineral water let me know that they take hospitality seriously. The meal served was DELICIOUS. I really wanted to gobble up everything, but I held back fearing post-meal sleepiness :D. I'll definitely recommend this trip to my friends and family members!

This was a really cool experience. I went with my wife and three kids, 12/10/7 years old. We arranged for a late afternoon session with Khairul, and we've been in Malaysia for over a month, so the heat was reasonable. We wore permethrin treated clothes and sprayed with repellant, so mosquitos were not an issue. Khairul and Nani had clearly put a lot of passion into setting this up and it was fun to hang out with them and learn about rubber trees, rubber production, and history of rubber in Malaysia. Khairul's mum, the owner of the land, even came to talk with us over tea and add the occasional remark during our experience. We drank some tea made from rubber tree seeds upon arriving, and ate some very fresh durian from a nearby source. Next, we watched tools get sharpened by the tapping expert and tied burning mosquito coils to belts. Then we went into the grove and learned how to cut along existing ramps in the bark to allow more raw sap to flow down into a collection cup. After a time at the rubber trees, we walked around the grounds with Nani and the rubber guy and saw rambutan, starfruit, mangosteen, palm oil, and other trees. We were able to eat a couple mangosteen right off the tree! Then we headed back and enjoyed a meal of local malay food while chatting with our hosts. This was much different than visiting the mega-malls and famous buildings in KL, and I'm very glad we did it. I'm grateful to our hosts for making such a unique experience available to outsiders.

A rather long a tricky place to get to, if you are residing in KL city. Taxi was expensive. That said, once we arrived we went straight to the rubber trees. Tapped. Looked around other plants had a good lunch. I did feel it was a bit rushed. More information would have been good. Although the rubber tapper was knowledgeable. My 7 year old was very enthusiastic and the little rubber she tapped and collected, actually became a pencil eraser for her. Mosquitoes were in the hundreds, so go prepared. Extra was provided for us. As fruit was out of season, we didnt get that but tried a variety of other plants. A drink on arrival would have been appreciated. On the whole, it is worth doing as an educational experience, especially with children.
