The City of La Verne requires that only a Host’s’ primary residence is rented as a short-term rental. Further, short-term rentals are only allowed in residential single or multi-family zones. Check out the full text of the ordinance

As part of the application process, all Hosts must submit proof that this residence is their primary residence, provide emergency contact information, and be available for 24-hour response within one hour. The application fee is $100.
