The house is nestled among Maple trees 5km from Algonquin Park.
My guests are usually spending their days in Algonquin Park as there is so much to see and do. Everything in the Village of Whitney is within walking distance.
People describe this space as very soothing and relaxing. A good place to regroup on your travels or after a day spent in Algonquin Park.
The main floor has 2 bedrooms for guests. I live in the basement apartment. We each have our own entrances.

The main floor has 2 bedrooms, one has a King Bed and one has a Queen bed and both have TV monitor (no cable) with WIFI. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bathtub, so bring some Epsom salts for a relaxing bath after a day outdoors.
The bathroom, kitchen and living room is fullly furnished.
All the bedrooms have a lock.

I love that this street is quiet, you can walk on trails right behind the house or go to the lake to watch the sun set or rise. The beach is only 2km away and has a lovely view of sunsets. My neighbours are all friendly and private at the same time. I live on a peninsula surrounded by Galeairy Lake but I am on the hill amongst Maple trees.
The lake is 11km long and 80% of it is in Algonquin Park. There are many interior camping sites on this lake and on an unoccupied one you can stop for a picnic.
If you want to go canoeing on Galeairy Lake you can drive right up to the docks about 2km away. Canoes and Kayaks are available for rent in several locations here. Whitewater rafting tours are a 45 minute drive from here.
The village is within a 10 minute walk. Most stores are open until 5:30 pm. Longer during the summer season.

I’m been a Reflexologist for 35 years, who has also worked in and was raised in the Tourism Industry for the past 54 years. I just retired in January. I worked at Couples Resort which is a 5 minute walk from here. I Love travelling and hosting. My location is in a quiet subdivision amongst the Maple trees.
I know all my neighbours.
If you have food sensitivities or find it difficult to eat out you are welcome to cook your meals here. I have spices on hand.
l live in my apt downstairs, accessible through the back door. The main floor is for my guests, accessible through the front door. There is usually no more than 4 guests sharing upstairs.
I find most of my guests go to bed early as there is so much to see in Algonquin Park and by the time they get back, eat and clean up they are pretty tired. Occasionally we have a bonfire in the back yard.
