This sweet traditional self-catering little house called the "Blue House" is ideal for 2 friends or family members who enjoy the beach, the city and yet like to be in a quiet private place of their own, with a private bedroom, dining room kitchen, and bathroom and with a common outside Patio to enjoy with other guests. At a 3 min. walk from the train that takes you to Lisbon and Cascais and supermarket, restaurants and cafes and a 10 min walk from the beach.

Come and stay for a few days in one of 5 beautiful little Páteo houses my grandfather built 90 years ago and I now renovated for you to enjoy !

In a quiet location in the heart of Carcavelos, just a 3 min. walk from the railway station and 10 min. from Carcavelos beach – one of the best close to Lisbon for surfing all year round and swimming in the Summer.

Each one of these houses has been colourfully decorated with care and love so you can choose to rent all three (at a special offer) or individually:

The Blue House: fun and sea-inspired for 2 with an equipped kitchen, one bedroom with two beds, one dining room for four, one bathroom with shower and shares a common outside patio with all 5 houses.

All have Free WiFi, fully equipped kitchen, bed linen and towels, common páteo with tables, chairs, parasols and flowers !

Ideal for surfers or young friends wanting to share slow meals and bright sunsets in a picturesque and typical portuguese pateo without giving up the privacy of your own bedroom, kitchen and bathroom !

Take the seaside train to Lisbon or to Estoril and Cascais and try some grilled sardines, beautiful seafood or sweet “pasteis de nata” with a glass of Portuguese wine or a Port !

Julia's Pateo is in the heart of Carcavelos, a quiet village close to the sea but with no night attractions or noisy bars, just authentic inexpensive local restaurants. However if you hop on the train you're only 20 min away from Lisboa where you find busy restaurants and night life and you can still enjoy the beach during the day !

I’m a 4th generation native from Carcavelos who loves to face new challenges and projects. So besides my occupation as a lawyer, I decided to renovate and decorate these 5 beautiful little páteo houses my grandfather built nearly 90 yrs ago with all modern commodities, including free Wi-Fi !
You’ll be able to share a common pátio between the 5 houses but you’ll have the total independence of your own house with private bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
I enjoy meeting new people of different nationalities and cultures and sharing information on our Portuguese traditions. You’re very welcome !

For the rest of your stay you are on your own but you may certainly meet and interact with the nice neighbouring guests next door! Please note that I do not live at the Pateo and you might not see me more than once but you can whattsapp me or call me at any time and I'll be glad to help as best I can.
