Welcome to Dog House Surf Ranch! It is my pleasure to host you at this dog friendly beach cottage in the renowned Outer Banks of North Carolina. Large fenced yard located in Kill Devil Hills near the Sound.  Enjoy this home away from home that is professionally sanitized after every stay. Enjoy the beaches, fishing, paddleboarding and more. Access is prohibited to visitors until May 16th due to Covid-19. Ask about fishing Charters, sunset cruises, personal chef/catering and even photography.

3 Bedroom 2 bath sits on a corner lot boasting a multiple decks and a rooftop deck Crowe's Nest to see for miles. The beds are all New Gel Memory Foam Mattresses: 1-King Bed, 1-Queen Bed, a Twin-over-Full Bunk Bed, and a Full Sleeper Sofa. There is a large fenced in yard for your furry besties with stairs that go directly to the enclosed backyard,. The house has an open concept living room, updated bathrooms and an outdoor shower.

Walk to Food Lion, a new Publix right down the street, movie theatre, and the 3rd Street crosswalk for pedestrians to access the beach. If you surf like I do, there's some great surf spots nearby in both directions (message me if you need some tips).

There is cable, Wifi throughout, a smart TV (Living Room and Master) to watch your own Netflix, and internet TV. There is a coffee maker (bring filters just in case), blender, cookware, dinnerware, a Wii with games and two adult beach cruiser bicycles with bike lock provided. Large driveway for parking under the house. There is also a fire-pit in the side yard and a burn pile under the house that you can use (only for use in open space).

Make yourself at home in this beach getaway. Please treat the home as if it were your own while enjoying your stay. Thanks, and it is my pleasure to host you in the renowned Outer Banks!

Bedding and bath towels for the master bedroom (2 guests worth of towels) are included in the cleaning fee. Each extra bed, along with towels for that guest has a one time charge of $10 each. You can reduce costs by bringing your own linens or laundering the linens that you use (just make sure you store the folded bedding back on their respective beds). Just let me know in advance to make this arrangement. My cleaner will inform me if more than what was stated was used, and you will be charged the extra fee.

We even supply limited shampoo, conditioner, body wash, one roll of toilet paper and one paper towel roll.

The Pet fee for one dog is included in the cleaning fee, offering a service most places don't. Extra dogs are charged a one-time $30.00 fee each. I have the right to deny based on our conversation.

I also offer boat trips (Fishing Charters, trips to Banana Island, Sunset Cruises & Innertubing right behind the house)! Great for catching, cooking and getting some sun with your fam! I can also arrange catering/personal chef, photography, parasailing, kayak tours, kiteboarding and surf lessons. I can provide you information for daycare services, doggy daycare, kayak, bikes, SUP and board rentals. I have a lot of assets at your disposal.

Hal lain yang perlu diperhatikan
*** Note: Linens for the Master Bedroom (which includes towels for two guests, master bedding, hand towels for the common spaces), and the pet fee (for 1 Dog) are included in the cleaning fee. Extra linens are charged a one-time fee of $10 per bed, aside from the master. This includes towels for the person staying in those beds. This mainly pays for my cleaner to launder and replace linens as it is the part that takes the longest.

*** Strip used linens and bedding that were used and place in a pile on their respective beds. If you did not use a bed please make sure it is obvious that the bed was not used. If you laundered them yourself at checkout, please fold and place back on the bed or make the bed.

*** Do not overload the Washer and Dryer.

*** If laundering a comforter, only launder just the comforter and do not add any other items with it.

*** Do not leave Laundry running and leave. If something goes wrong after you depart flooding and electrical damage can occur.

*** You have the option to bring your own linens or launder and return the bedding you use and therefore opt out of the laundry fee. However, the house and the linens will be inspected to determine if in fact they are cleaned properly. We will request funds for any linens stated to be cleaned but actually are not. If you launder the linens then make sure it is obvious they were cleaned so that the cleaner does not wash them a second time. Fold them or make the bed and notify me what was washed.

*** Trash Pickup:
• Twice-Per Week Collection (April 1, 2019 - November 1, 2019) - Tuesday and Friday Mornings. Please put them out the night before. Don't ruin it for the next guests by forgetting and leaving a full bin.
• Once-Per Week Collection (November 4, 2019 - March 27, 2020): Tuesday Mornings. Please put them out the night before.

*** If you miss taking the trash out I will request funds for inconveniencing the next guest and having to make a special trash run.

*** The Laundry Facilities upstairs and downstairs are operational.

*** My cleaner will inform me if more Linens than what was stated by the guest were used and required laundering, and you will be charged the extra fee through a claim with Airbnb.

*** Please empty all of your pockets of sand and shake off your bedding, linens and clothes before you use the washer and dryer. If the washing machine becomes clogged I will do a request for funds to pay for the fix.

*** I offer a unique service where you can bring a furry friend. Therefore, if you bring dogs please put in a little extra effort and sweep/vacuum up dog hair in exchange for me allowing this service. It is much appreciated. This includes getting dog hair off the couches and under them.

*** Each dog over one dog is required to pay a Pet fee of $30.00 each.

*** Only Wash Dogs in the Outside Shower

*** We have a policy that you must be 25 years or older to book.

*** It is highly recommended that you purchase Traveler's Insurance if you are staying from August to November at the height of hurricane season. If your trip is cancelled due to a storm, Traveler's Insurance will completely reimburse you for your stay. This can be purchased from $50 to $100 in most cases. I've had great prices and experiences using this company where you can get a quote online or on the phone: https://www.generalitravelinsurance.com/

*** Our policy prohibits half-weekend bookings or a reservation that falls halfway into a holiday (i.e. checking out in the middle of a July 4th week or the middle of labor day weekend). A full weekend must be booked and you can not checkout on the actual day of the holiday (Checking out on Christmas day). If a reservation falls on a three or four day weekend, they must be booked in its entirety. My cleaners have families and vacation as well that prevent rapid turnover.

*** Leave a mess, tip the cleaner! I will do a request for funds using Airbnb support services if there is excessive cleaning involved and you do not leave a tip. Let me know if you left a tip so I don't overpay.

*** Ensure doors are closed and locked anytime you leave and especially at checkout.

*** Ensure all gates are closed and latched especially on checkout. Secure gates and check them during you stay to ensure dogs and kids cannot escape.

*** If there are some recommendations you have or something I can do to make your stay better, please let me know while you are there. No need for a nasty review if it is something I can remedy.

*** If you are not a pet person please do not have any hesitations with booking. I clean extremely well and the place is good for those without pets. It doesn't smell like dogs. We do an extra good job of cleaning.

*** If you have allergies towards dogs, please keep that in mind before booking. I am not liable for issues arising from pet allergies or sensitivities. You may just want to book another place.

*** Please don't remove fish scales in the sink or leave seafood smells for the next guest. I will request funds for this inconvenience. I have no issues if you cook and clean up and get rid of the smell. I'd recommend doing this outside on the grill though. Most people just don't like arriving for the start of their vacation with the smell of seafood from previous guests.

*** Do not use grill underneath the house, deck or awnings. This is a fire hazard and can damage and char the ceiling or deck above. Only use the grill in open areas.

*** Only dogs allowed. No Cats. Sorry, too many people with allergies.

*** I include a security deposit for my own protection of the house. If I have to clean serious messes or fix damages, then I will get a deduction from Airbnb via your card. This shouldn't be an issue though. If you are one of those complaining "Yelp Reviewers" trying to get a free stay and nit-pick everything, it won't work here. I've seen this a couple of times and I present all findings to Airbnb and won every single time. If you want an all inclusive stay do not stay at an Airbnb home. Consider this a home away from home, and enjoy it for what it is. It really is a unique modern style of vacationing enjoyed by the masses. Please respect my investment. If you leave a giant mess, know that I take pictures and report to Airbnb and you will be responsible for extra time the cleaner requires. If you have common cleanup issues, or maybe can't get enough done before check out, leave a tip and I won't have to bother you for extra hourly rates.

Things We Recommend You Bring Along:

Although we provide certain amenities for your stay in the home, there are a few things you may need while you are here.

Items such as beach towels, coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys will not be provided. Also, child-safety items such as outlet covers and baby gates are not provided. Make sure to bring these items with you! Bring your coffee, food, beverage and hygiene supplies.

There is a Nintendo Wii for the kids, but you may want other forms of entertainment.

Off Season is the best time to go! If you haven't experienced the OBX from September to May then you should give it a try. The weather is warm until November along with the water temperatures, and it is quiet and relaxing and an open beach for you, the fam and your fur friends to explore. Kids can jump in the water in April without feeling cold. Maybe a bit different for us older folks. The stars are brighter with less light pollution, and the locals like to keep business booming year round. Give it a whirl, you'll thank me later. Oh and the surf is better during the Fall, Winter and Spring.

Restaurants and things to do: (Also check the Guidebook in this listing for further recommendations)

2 Beach cruisers available to take a ride on the Albemarle Sound bike path down the street. Lock provided.

You must hit 2 Roads Tavern while you're here for the best craft burgers in the OBX. Try their Pickle Brine Chicken Sandwich...to die for! Chili Peppers has amazing portions of cheap but delicious Tex-Mex (only place I have seen serving Pupusa's, an El Salvadorian dish on the east coast)! Food Dudes and The Thai Room are exquisite. Checkout the Black Pelican for legendary seafood and views of the beach, corn hole and tv's to watch the game. Of Course Mamma Kwan's is an old favorite though it gets crowded. Ten O' Six is an awesome spot for a quick breakfast burrito or sandwich, or even breakfast bowl. Their Porkopia Bowl is Legiiiiit! Drive a little further into Nags Head for a view to die for at Jeannette's Pier as the sun rises on the ocean horizon. Walk to the sound at the end of Indian Street, hang a right, and kick back to watch the sunset in the gazebo on 3rd st and Bay Dr. Also, visit Jockey's Ridge and Roll down the largest moving Sand Dunes in North America.

Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, Amerika Serikat

The Dog House Surf Ranch is between Milepost 6 and 7 on the bypass. It is a quiet, safe neighborhood, with mostly locals.

Publix and Food Lion grocery stores around the corner as well as a Circle K gas station amd convenient store.

It is quiet, but you will see people walking, biking, jogging and walking their dogs especially on the beautiful new bike path on the Sound right down the street on Bay Drive.

We ask that visitors be mindful of the neighbors and please respect the neighborhood by not creating loud disturbances especially after 10pm.

There are plenty of fun things close by such as the Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey's Ridge, coffee shops, eateries and cafes. The movie theater is right down the road for rainy days, along with numerous restaurants and plenty of shopping (There's even an Outlet Mall in Nags Head!). Avalon Fishing Pier is close by.

The bike path runs along Bay Drive down the street from the house. Great for jogging, walks, bike rides, skating and breath taking sunset views. There is a little Sound beach access at the end of Third Street that is very shallow and good for taking the pups to play in, kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, swimming or inner-tubing. There is a boat ramp about 5 minutes north on Bay Drive if you have a boat to drop in the water.

I enjoy the anything outdoors. I'm into travelling, surfing, hiking, stand-up paddleboarding, scuba diving, spear fishing, sky diving, and continually adding new hobbies to the list. The ocean and beach are my playhouse, but love all aspects of nature. I'm very reliable and responsible and treat any place as if it were my own...clean. I host multiple places of my own in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, in the U.S. I'm always searching for my next adventure.
