The camper is perfect for one to two people looking to enjoy all that Wallowa County has to offer. Located just a mile outside of Joseph, this spot is perfectly cozy with its own private outdoor area featuring an outdoor shower and fire pit!

The Great Outdoors Log-Cabin Camp Trailer is located at “The DEPOT Place” - a community oriented multi-space farm-stay that features unique lodging, artisan roasted organic coffee and teas, herb gardens, tea parties(coming soon), a labyrinth walk(coming soon), miniature baby goats and their mommy, chickens(who enjoy their very own "chunnels" -wire mesh tunnels that run the perimeter of a garden).
Our place has a historical train depot building on the property. It was built in 1906 and previously located in Enterprise, Oregon until it was moved in 1980 to its present location- one mile north of the town of Joseph, to serve as a personal residence.

The Cozy Camper is located across the yard, on the NW side of the train depot building. It is completely self-contained with a fridge, sink, propane stove top, small electric heater, cozy full size memory foam bed, a table booth, and an adorable, usable- albeit small- toilet and shower room.
Due to the shower being so small, we have added your own private outdoor shower as well! You have your own private outdoor fenced deck area with an umbrella, BBQ, outdoor lights, and a fire pit. There is also a community garden/backyard area with a charcoal grill, firepit, charcoal grill, and picnic tables to enjoy.
We are located off the main road into Joseph, which makes it very convenient to get around and basically impossible to get lost, but the road can also be very busy, so please pull in and out of the driveway with extra care. Also, the road causes traffic noise that can be heard from the camper (our city friends laugh at this, but we do want you to be aware).

The lobby of the Historical Train Depot building now includes a commercial kitchen where "Dining Car Sushi" at the Depot, offers amazing Sushi rolls and appetizers. Their info and menu are found online.

A history corner and gift shop are also located in the lobby, where hand crafted gifts, Depot T-shirts, and our Artisan, Air-Roasted Organic Coffee Beans are kept fresh in the freezer, and available for purchase.
We are a creative family team with interests in gardening, herbs, sustainable farming, amazing food and drink, re-purposing, alternative building methods, and fun places to stay! We have been renovating and creating unique spaces for the past four years for our guests to enjoy. We are able to offer; The Caboose, The Great Outdoors Log Cabin Camp Trailer, and The Fairy-Tale Shepherds Wagon for overnight lodging. A Tipi will be available July-Oct for daytime enjoyment and storytelling around the fire .

The town of Joseph is an amazing up and coming tourist destination with access to the Eagle Cap Wilderness, the Imnaha river canyonlands, and an adorable town full of art galleries, museums, great food and drink, and unique shops. We are located in the Wallowa valley; homeland of the Wallowa Band Nez Perce. An interpretive center is located in the town of Wallowa, which we highly recommend visiting.
We are surrounded by mountains, farmland, canyons, hiking trails, and of course, gorgeous Wallowa Lake where you can kayak, paddleboard, rent a boat, fish or swim.
