Looking to get close to nature? Treat yourself to mountain views in this hilly refuge. This place is a great option for folks wanting to combine working remotely with rest and relaxation. Hiking trails and bike routes originate in our neighborhood. Deer roam freely on the property, sometimes in small herds, and it's a great space for bird watching. The apartment sits on a sunny and rustic one acre 14 miles North of San Francisco. Off-street enclosed parking. Pets welcome.

This 600-square-foot apartment is attached to the main house where the hosts live. It has a private entrance into a sitting room/dining area and kitchenette along with a separate bedroom and bath suite
Wireless access to higher-speed wifi and cable TV. HBO and Showtime are the premium channels (you can watch TV in bed). The kitchenette is small and fully stocked. Suitable for light cooking only (heating up take out--morning coffee and tea). Due to zoning regs, there is no stove. There is a sink, under-the-counter fridge/freezer combo, and microwave/convection oven that works very well for simple cooking and heating up. 3 types of coffeemaker (1 large and one small as well as a French press), plug-in kettle, and toaster included. All china, pots, and utensils included as well as kitchen towels and table linens provided. Full-sized bedroom with a king-sized bed. Dresser has ample space and 2 sets of bed linens are provided. The bathroom has a large shower and twin sink vanity, a large walk-in closet with roomy storage space.

*Please review the size of the kitchenette to ensure it will meet your needs, especially for longer stays.

*This is an older home built in the 1950s. Some surfaces may be worn but they are clean.

* This is not a detached cottage or separate structure so expect on hearing some of the common noises of everyday life like toilets flushing, water running, etc.

We're very much into Indian, Italian and Mexican food, European and local wines, entertaining, gardening and art of all kinds. We have a furnished au pair apartment connected to our home that we've been renting out on a short term basis for years. As for hosting, here's our experience: we've met folks hailing from Shanghi to Stockholm through the former International Diplomacy Council program here in San Francisco and have welcomed visiting diplomats and guests from all over the world (for dinner that is). Now that we've discovered Air BnB we think we might just be ready for prime time hosting . . . .

We start you off on your stay with some coffee and an array of tea. Soap and toilet paper are included to get you started. We don't come in and clean or replenish the apartment with amenities. There is a broom, carpet sweeper and vacum cleaner stored in the kitchenette.

We make every effort to make you feel at home. If perchance there's something you can't find in the apartment just email or ring us.
