I was born and raised in Sapporo, Hokkaido, the north part of Japan. After I graduated from high school I went to the states, lone star state, Huston, Texas for English study.
First two months in Texas and then moved to Los Angeles, California.
I stayed there totally around two years. It was 1996, so it is over 20 years ago now.
I am running this accommodation with license and I have other job Monday tru Friday 7am to 7pm. I live in the part of this accommodation in summer, but I may live in the City called Shiogama near from this accomodation in Winter.
This area is called Takayama, the three biggest secret foreign village for summer in Japan. One is Karuizawa, the other is Lake Nosiri, they are both in Nagano Pref., but the other is here in Miyagi Pref.
About this area.
This area is not an exiting urban area.
This is a place to stay relaxed, and a place to enjoy marine sports. I realy enjoy surfing life here along the coast line. As our accommodation is located in the cost line, someone may think that it may be dangerous when we have earthquake and TSUNAMI. But this accommodation is located at the top of a small hill along the very steap slope, so this place is authorised to be a temporary evacuation site by this town called Shichigahama.

We may pick you up at the nearest JR station when we have time so please ask us when it is avilable, if you are taking JR pass for your trip.
Be very careful in the names of JR lines around this area. You may see four or even more names of JR lines.
JR Senseki Line.
This line conects SENDAI, a little urban area, to the amaging city called Ishinomaki, which is famous for Manga. FOR OUR PICKING YOU UP, please take this line and come to JR Tagajyo station, or Geba station. There are starbucs coffee in JR Tagajyo station. Tagajyo station will be better on weekdays. I prefer JR Geba station on weekends on the other hand.
You can also take this train to JR Matsushima kaigan station and Ishinomaki station. We have over 260 islands around this area, if you want to take sight seeing boat trip around these islands, you take JR matsushima kaigan station.
If you want to visit cat island, take Ishinomaki station. And find someone there. USUALLY there are someone with big bags who visits the island Called Tashirojima. Take taxi together there. It works.

This line conects Sendai to Yamagata. If you want to enjoy hiking in Yamadera, its an old temple in Yamagata pref., take this line from Sendai station to Yamadera station.
JR THOHOKU LINE
This line conects Shirakawa in FUKUSHIMA and Morioka in IWATE.
I have never used this line, but it is faster than trains in JR SENSEKI LINE. There is a station called JR Shiogama station and KOKUFU Tagajyo in this line, which are sometimes confusing because we have HOSHIOGAMA STATION and TAGAJYO STATION in JR SENSEKI LINE.

The Cheapest Way To Travel Japan
JR pass is the cheapest way maybe, but it is sometimes hard to travel all the way in trains. I have several guests so far who took ferry from Sendai international port to Nagoya international port, or Sendai international port to Tomakomai port in Hokkaido. It is also cheap, and I usually take this when i go back to Hokkaido. You can also bring your rent car, so you can sleep during your trip. Be careful in the season of tyhoon, it sometimes cancels the cruse.
We have two separate guest rooms, one is for 4 guests, and the other is for 5 guests. We can accommodate totally 9 adults. For kids please ask.
At this time we do not adopt dormitory style because we regard it very important to meet and talk with each guests each time, but if you want to book a room more than 5, we can do so if we have enough space, so please ASK us.
some may think that it is usual or common that you use kitcken during ur stay for ur breakfast and dinner. It is free that you use microwave, electrical pot and toaster on the counter, and dishes, cups, glasses, fork, nives, etc in the cabiet in the the kitchen. After you use cups and dishes please leave them on the counter, I will wash them.
