We provide a genuine Filipino lifestyle experience for our guests. Do everything from fishing at our riverside home, relax in a hammoc by the river or our vege patch, sing along with Karaoke by night, enjoy delicious authentic Filipino food that can only be best experienced in the home of a Filipino family.

Guest Access

Your private room is large and comfortable with a double bed, mosquito net, wall fan, with light, stereo with FM radio and iPod/phone doc player/charger, mini refrigerator. Enjoy the luxury of your own private bathroom complete with hot and cold water in the shower with toilet and wash basin. Fresh fruit basket, flowers by your bed, fluffy towels, and basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel) is just the start of the comfort. It's fully secured by security grills on the windows and lock-up door to your room with key.

It will be hard to find so much comfort and luxury without the staid limitations of a hotel. For the person looking for more in their holiday experience, or need a secure and comfortable place for a business trip, this is the place for you.

Interaction with Guests

The room is in our family home. You can choose to lock yourself away in your room when you want privacy, or join in with the family activities when you want company.
If you would like to try your hand at farming you will be welcome to help tend our vegetable patch. If getting back to nature is your thrill, we are surrounded by some of the most exquisite mountains and bush walks you could ever hope to enjoy.

If beach is your thing, it's a short trip away to cool your heals by our sea-kissed shores.

Shopping is of course available in the malls that have been rebuilt since that terrible Typhoon Yolanda.

Perhaps you prefer to fish in our nearby river and bring your catch back to BBQ for dinner.

For our visitors that like to sing and dance, we are always pleased join with you for Karaoke.

Our Neighborhood

The beautiful Filipino people's smiles offer the pathway to generous and kind hearts. Our neighbourhood is friendly and there will be no shortage of people willing to share laughter or offer a helping hand if you need.

You will feel your stress levels dissipate as you enter a world that seems set back in time whilst also enjoying the luxuries that our warm and loving home offers.

We revel in the opportunity to share with our guests about their life and to learn from them as we share our experiences.

Internet
We can arrange internet for you at a cost of 50 PHP per day (about $1.20 USD). Please be aware that the internet signal is not strong here in Ormoc so it can be frustrating. Internet cafes in the city centre offer a bit stronger signal, but even there, it's not easy to have good internet. It's just the reality of our location. Sometimes that is a good thing because it takes pressure of being contactable away, to lower your stress.

Getting around

Buses are low cost and convenient and can take you easily to the main Ormoc city proper.

We can arrange for private transport with a driver if you wish to go somewhere off the beaten track, either by motorcycle or tricycle. If you prefer a car we can arrange that too. All you have to do is ask.

In short, it's pretty easy to get to where you want to go in Ormoc.

Other Things to Note

We have a washing machine in our home. You are welcome to use it, and if you prefer not to do that while you're on holidays, we can do that for you for a small additional fee price per kilo - 50 PHP per kilo (that's about $1-2 USD per kilo). Your laundry will arrive to your room fresh clean and neatly folded with a smile.

House Rules
We prefer non-smokers that are respectful and well behaved. We don't mind some drinking with our guests but we prefer responsible and controlled drinkers with good temperament.
We ask guests to please turn off electrical appliances and lights when not in use because electricity is very expensive.

It's more fun in Philippines, and that describes me and my family. I am Christopher and my family includes my Mama and Father with 2 sisters and a nephew still living at home. We also have two brothers living abroad. I also travel a lot for my work overseas, so sometimes I am not living there, but I still handle all Airbnb enquiries for my family.

We are farmers so we work hard, and at the end of the day we enjoy eating together, singing with Karaoke and laughing a lot. We want to invite you to share our beautiful new home (completely rebuilt since the 2013 Typhoon Yolanda). Our life is simple but relaxing. If you are looking for an authentic Philippine lifestyle change to relax and reconnect with life's simple pleasures, then we are interested to meet you.

If you wish to socialise with our family we will welcome you to sit with us and chat, eat with us when you want, sing with us too. But if you prefer to stay in the privacy of your room, that's ok too.

The main TV is in the living room. We have cable but have to pay for use every time, so if you want cable TV, just ask and we can arrange for that. The cost for cable is 400 PHP per week (that's a bit less than $10 USD).
