A stay in ‘The Captain’s Cabin’ is like no other, with its nautical themed decor, including authentic ship’s porthole window and lights. The views from the room are incredible, and you can see mountains from two sides of the room, even lying in bed!! Enjoy the peace and tranquility that our farmstay has to offer, excluding the occasional donkey brays or cockerels crowing!! The Cabin is a perfect retreat in the mountains to escape the hustle and bustle of city life!

Angel Caves farmstay is definitely off the beaten track but is accessible from the popular market town of San Mateo by bus or taxi if you don’t drive.
There is a local convenience shop and bar/restaurant a 15 minute walk away, and the small village of Las Lagunetas is a beautiful walk of around 30 minutes.
Cruz de Tejeda, an area of stunning natural beauty can be reached in a scenic hour long hike.

Hi, We're Rachael and Miguel!

We love travelling and enjoy regular trips abroad. Two years ago we decided to move from our home in London to a beautiful mountainside cave house in Gran Canaria. We’re still in the process of renovating our new home but want to share a small piece of it with likeminded guests who are looking for some peace and tranquility and a break away from busy city life!

We often use similar travel sights and have had many positive experiences staying in other people's apartments and seeing how they live. We look forward to meeting the guests who will stay in our home!

We love great food and wine and prefer to visit off the beaten track locations and recommendations from locals rather than the main tourist attractions.

When we travel we’re always respectful of other people's homes and treat it as we would our own home. We hope you’ll do the same!
