The perfect space for traveling medical professionals or groups looking for a place to stay during a Hawkeye game.

Your room is in our private walk-out basement with lots of natural light. The bedroom has two queen beds and two closets. The space also includes exclusive use of the basement bathroom, family room, and kitchenette.

There is a shared laundry room and gym in the basement.

We love hosting long term guests -- don't hesitate to stay a while!

THE BEDROOM

The perfect place to crash after a long day of work, study, or play, the bedroom has two queen beds and a smart TV. There are plenty of extra pillows and blankets to accommodate any type of sleep preferences.

For the unpackers and longer term guests, there is a closet with clothes hangers and dresser available for your use.

THE KITCHENETTE

The kitchenette comes equipped with basic dishes and cutlery, a full-sized kitchen sink, a full-sized fridge and freezer, a microwave, countertop oven/air fryer, hot plate, Ninja blender, and coffee maker. There is plenty of cabinet space available for your use.

THE BATHROOM

Just down the hall from your bedroom, you will find your bathroom, clean and fully stocked with big fluffy towels. Please note that the shower in your bathroom is quite small and there is no tub.

THE LIVING ROOM

Filled with plants, books, board games, and cozy vibes, you’re sure to love this space as much as we do. Take a load off and stream your favorite show on the 42” Roku TV on Hulu.

Please note that there is no cable TV or sports packages.

THE GYM

You’re sure to get a good workout in with the squat rack, bench, and spinning bike. Please note that use of any gym equipment is at your own risk. We may use this space during your stay.

THE LAUNDRY ROOM

You are more than welcome do laundry during your stay. We also have a small sewing kit and an iron and small ironing board in case something got jostled during your travels. We may use this space during your stay.

THE YARD

Take a step outside and enjoy the weather on the shade-soaked patio. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a nightcap. We, along with our dog, will use the yard during your stay.

OUR DOG

We have a large rescue dog named Donovan. If you have allergies or don’t like/fear dogs, we’re not the best space for you. You will hear him barking. He likes to sing the song of his people if he hears a neighborhood dog, if someone knocks, or sometimes just if he thinks he’s not getting enough attention. We have a fan in the bedroom closet to provide you with white noise if you need it.

We love our quiet, safe little neighborhood full of Iowa-nice neighbors and hope you will too!

Quick and easy access to Highway 6 ensures you can get to anywhere in Iowa City in a flash. We’re a short 10 minute drive to UIHC and less than 5 minutes to Kirkwood Community College.

Looking to get outside? Take a short walk over to Wetherby Park and play some disk golf or pop on down to the Sycamore Greenway to enjoy a scenic walk, bike ride, or run. Pleasant Valley Golf Course is just a 6 minute drive south if you have a hankering to get out on the green, and Terry Trueblood Recreation Area is the perfect spot to rent a SUP or kayak to get out on the water.

Hey all!

Myself, my boyfriend Kee, and our dog Donovan love our home in Iowa. We’re big fans of the outdoors, local food and drink. Local fare is always top on our list of priorities while traveling.

We are excited to open our home to those wanting a cozy place to stay in Iowa City. While we haven’t been here too long, we already have a long list of local parks and favorite restaurants to share with you.

Easy self check-in through your private entrance ensures you get into your space quickly so you have more time to relax or explore.

We will be available throughout your stay to answer any questions you may have. We both work full time for the University. We're happy to be as involved or distant as you would like!

We do live upstairs and may be using the laundry room, gym, and backyard throughout your stay. You may hear some light foot traffic, chatter, TV, cooking noises, etc. We will never enter your bedroom, the kitchenette or bathroom during your stay unless you have an issue you would like us to address.

A note on COVID-19: We are both fully vaccinated and have received booster shots. We do not wear masks in our home. If you would like us to wear masks while interacting with you or when walking through the space while you are staying with us, please let us know. We are more than happy to accommodate to make you feel safe.
