The main house and barn were built just after World War 2, when the former farmhouse was closer to the divide towards Iselvmoen.
This was a typical small farm in Målselv, with cows, sheep, goats and horses.
Farming was discontinued in the mid-1960s.
Olderskog farm (Østermo) appears today, with the original houses that have been restored. In addition, several new buildings have been erected. In the yard at Olderskog there are 10 buildings and a myriad of details that all contain and tell history and lived life and years that have passed, and here you will find local cultural history, Trøndelag interspersed with American post-war history and not least history related to the king of rock 'n roll.
All the houses on the farmyard are named after the surrounding mountains.
We like to use the expression "Magical moments" as a description for the experience you get after one visit with us.

We are four brothers, father and mother working in the company; we control the entire production process from operating the reindeer in the pastures to the finished product sold to the customers. We also buy meat from other reindeer grazing districts in Troms.
