Lake Chuzenji is a stunning Lake at almost 1,300m in elevation. One of the largest lakes in Japan, the views are stunning. Enjoy walking by the shore, enjoy a pedal boat, or take a sightseeing boat. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes by the lake. It’s about 30 mins drive from YellowHouse up a very famous road with switchback after switchback. Buses also go up to the lake regularly. Check the timetables in the house.

Lake Chuzenji is a stunning Lake at almost 1,300m in elevation. One of the largest lakes in Japan, the views are stunning. Enjoy walking by the shore, enjoy a pedal boat, or take a sightseeing boat. Yudaki falls are beautiful falls which cascade down from Lake Yunoko. It’s possible to walk from the base of the falls all the way to the top and then enjoy a very scenic walk at the lake. It’s 50 mins by car or 1hr 20mins by bus.

This micro brewery bar is great! It’s just down the street from Shinkyo Bridge and is perfect for a break from sightseeing and souvenir shopping! The owner is really friendly and his beer is fantastic. You can take your own food there and charge your phone!!!
