This is where we get out in open space to walk our dogs in St. Helena. Walk or jog in the vineyards along the maintained flat path from Library Lane to the Napa River. The path is totally exposed--best in mornings, or early evening to catch the sunset. Bring a towel to clean up pups if you let them swim! And please pick up poop; trash cans are provided along the path.

Excellent family-owned local market with amazing cheese selection, olive bar, great seafood and meats, artisan breads, prepared foods and excellent selection of local wines, including a solid range of chilled bubbles, whites and great rosés. Grab a Virage Rosé in half or full bottle and a local goat cheese. Can't go wrong. warning: closes at 8:30pm.

Everything baked here is outstanding. Delicious prepared breakfasts as well, and grain/greens/fruit salads by the pint change daily. Model Bakery sourdough bread is the best on planet earth-it's also sold at Whole Foods in Napa.

Favorites include fire-roasted shisito peppers and the gnocchi--add a 'top-cut' grilled chicken breast to the gnocchi for a complete meal. Rustic, beautiful barn-like atmosphere with open-beam ceilings indoors and large stone fireplace at the popular outdoor bar. Need a break from wine? Farmstead serves an outstanding locally-made craft beer 'Mad Fritz,' otherwise only available through direct, club membership for home delivery.

Kathy often gives a quick welcome and introduces the films and upcoming films before the screenings. Cute love seats in the back. Homemade cookies and excellent popcorn with real butter. Movies like they used to be :)
