Small-group walking tour Tbilisi
Kickstart your trip to Tbilisi with this small-group tour! Even if you only have a short time in Tbilisi, you have to spend at least a half-day exploring the Old Town. The architecture in the city’s historic district is a mixture of Georgian, Byzantine, Oriental, and Neo-Classical European styles. Among the sites, you will visit is the Orthodox Anchiskhati Basilica, the city’s oldest church. You will also see the 13th-century churches of Sioni and Metekhi, the magnificent Narikala Fortress, perched on a hill with superb views of the city below, and the classic Freedom Square. You will then continue to one of Tbilisi’s newest attractions, the Bridge of Peace, which opened in 2010 over the River Mtkvari (also known as the Kura River). Tbilisi’s compact size means you can easily explore the nearby Synagogue, Armenian Church, and Mosque, in addition to the Georgian Orthodox churches so fundamental to Georgian culture. All about Georgian wine in a pocket
The historical fact that the history of world winemaking has its roots in Georgia has already been confirmed. Traditional winemaking in Georgia is fundamentally different from all world practices. At my tasting class, you and I will: - try 4 types of wine (White European, Orange, Red Qvevri and Red according to Classic technology) and pair them with cheeses and dried fruits - learn how to make food pairing and main rules for this - we will discuss the particular qualities of wine and you will get the basic skills for wine tasting that will help you correctly describe your wishes through wine in a restaurant or winery - I will talk about the regions of winemaking and the differences between different methods of wine production in Georgia Our tasting will take place in the new, modern DecanTer winery

Rainbow mountains and David Gareji with winetasting
Go on a one-day tour to the David Gareja Monastery complex. This short but eventful journey will allow you to explore one of the most ancient and important religious sites in Georgia. Davit-Gareja cave city, an extraordinary site with fantastic semi-desert landscapes, is located 100 km southeast of Tbilisi, and it was founded in the 6th Century by David (St. David Garejeli). The complex of temples stretches for several kilometers in the southeast of the country and along the border with Azerbaijan. The David Gareja Monastery is unique due to the fact that many of its buildings are cut into a huge tilted rock and some of its temples still preserve millenary frescos. Be ready to walk and climb on uneven ground. We also visit the Natlismtsemeli monastery (Saint John monastery). On the way back, you will stop at a nice cozy house for lunch (not included) and where you can try Georgian wines. On foot, you will cover about 4 kilometers (2.4 miles). Be sure that you are ready for this and that you have the right shoes. Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level.
