This is the oldest winery on Pritchard Hill, a stunning, high-elevation area known for producing some of Napa's best Cabs. Chappellet's extensive 90-minute Vineyard Tour and Tasting includes a walk through the organic vineyards and a seated tasting of new releases.

Donn and Molly Chappellet were visionaries having secured land on Pritchard Hill to build their Ed Moses designed the winery. My favorite wine is Molly's Chenin Blanc.

The first winery established on Pritchard Hill, it's still the best deal up there. Family owned since the 1960s. Go for the wine and the setting. Appointment only. Pritchard Hill Cab is amazing, though they make great Cab Franc, Merlot, and Chenin Blanc too.
