The "coolest" of all NOLA neighborhoods, in our opinion. Even though it's become a rather expensive destination, it's still bohemian and counter-culture in its own way. Frenchmen Street music clubs are great, too, even post-pandemic!

Just across from the French Quarter, lots of low key music clubs on Frenchmen Street. Also along St. Claude Avenue a few great spots worth checking out - Hi Ho, Always Lounge, Carnaval and more.

A beautiful old neighborhood in New Orleans with tons of character and lots to see as you walk around. You'll run into shops, restaurants, coffee shops and I'm sure a lot of locals too.

Faubourg Marigny and Bywater are two side-by-side neighborhoods on the edge of the Mississippi River in the lower ninth ward. Bywater American Bistro is a lively restaurant with a healthy dose of southern hospitality serving brunch, craft libations, and more. Mimi’s In The Marigny serves Spanish tapas and classic cocktails in a laid-back atmosphere with pool tables and a balcony with a view of Royal Street.
