Kallithea Springs are located at the bay of Kallithea, just 4 km. Known since antiquity for their therapeutic properties, the thermal springs of Kallithea were utilized by the Italians, in the early 20th century, being very popular and attracting visitors from all over the world. Nowadays the renovated, majestic premises of Kallithea Springs completely restored and tastefully refurbished are welcoming once again hundreds of visitors per day, being one of the most popular attractions on the island of Rhodes.

You’re spending a few days in Rhodes, and you want to relax a bit? Then, you should definitely go to Kallithea Springs! The Springs are located East of the island, 9 km away from Rhodes City. Opened in 1929, the springs were renowned for Kallithea spring water’s curative and therapeutic properties. People were coming from all over the world to find a cure for arthritis, diabetes or asthma. Then, the springs were left in a state of decay for many years to finally re-open in 2007. Once you’re there, you can visit the buildings, discover the beautiful mosaic floors and admire a magnificent sea view. There is also a small beach with deckchairs, umbrellas and a restaurant. It’s one of Rhodes’ most famous private beaches. Kallithea hosts many art exhibitions and concerts and was used several times as a filming location. The entrance costs 3€. And if you want to rent a deckchair on the beach, it costs 5€ with a soft drink included.

Kallithea counts four little gem beaches in its ranks, accessible to visitors. In front of the impressive Thermal Spa site you will find the main beach, organized with sunbeds and shades, surrounded by uniquely beautiful natural rocks which make the scenery, combined with the Italian architecture of the monument, truly breathtaking. An idyllic location, which is also accessible by boat, gives the impression that it is the set for an aristocratic movie straight off Roman history. Around the monument and at the feet of the pine forest there are three more beaches, equally stunning. Small family run businesses have given their names to the beaches: Tasos beach, Nikos beach and Oasis beach; they are all organized with sunbeds and canteens and offer different kinds of beach experiences. There are also many spots in the area, with limited access, which are ideal for diving or swimming far from the crowds.
